Ocean Institute’s Annual Maritime Festival! Ticket includes access to the festival on Saturday and Sunday!
Join us for fun interactive hands-on activities that will spark curiosity in Marine Science and Maritime History!
The festival adventure pass gets you access to three main areas of the festival.
Ocean Institute’s Main Campus
MJSLC tall ship tours
Lil’ Lads Landing
Main Campus Activities: 10:00am – 4:00pm
Marine life artifacts, history of whaling, scrimshaw activity, local aquaria and marine life, gold panning station, morse code and how to send a telegram, tide pool touch tank, shark touch tank, and a sea monster scavenger hunt.
Don’t miss story time! Pirate and mermaid story times throughout the day (see schedule below)
MJSLC – Ship Tours: 10:00am – 3:00pm (ship tours close early to prepare for Cannon Battles).
Festival Tall Ships: Spirit of Dana Point, Curlew, Irving Johnson, Exy Johnson, Bill of Rights.
Lil Lad’s Landing: 10:00am – 4:00pm
Pirate obstacle course, festival games, challenges, and opportunities to win prizes, face painting, crafts, and more!
Pricing:
Adult (14+) – $20
Seniors (+55) – $18.50
Children (3-14 y.o) – $17
Toddler (0-2 y.o) – $0
Tickets will also be sold on-site during the festival.

Ocean Institute will be offering FREE Festival General Admission to First Responders, Active Service Members, and Veterans in honor or September 11. Ticket is only valid for First Responders, Active Service Members, and Veterans, not other participants in the group.
No pre-book necessary, present valid identification at festival check-in to receive ticket.

5:00 pm – Festival Grounds Close – pirate camp, vendors, food trucks, music, etc.
